Mandate Overview
The mandate
Hungary's Real-Time Invoice Reporting (RTIR) system, run by the Nemzeti Adó- és Vámhivatal (NAV), has been mandatory for all VAT-registered businesses since July 2018. Invoice data must be transmitted to NAV Online Számla within minutes of issuance using XML schema version 3.0, which became the only accepted version on May 15, 2025. The energy sector is under full mandatory B2B e-invoicing since July 1, 2025, and B2C e-bill submission is mandatory since May 15, 2025.
