Mandate Overview

The mandate

Poland's mandatory B2B e-invoicing system, the Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF), launched its first phase on February 1, 2026 for approximately 4,200 large taxpayers (turnover above 200M PLN in 2024). All other VAT-registered businesses must onboard by April 1, 2026, and micro taxpayers (monthly invoicing under 10,000 PLN gross) follow on January 1, 2027. A penalty-free grace period runs through year-end 2026.

FAQ

Common questions

When does the mandate apply to my company?

KSeF is mandatory from February 1, 2026 for large taxpayers (over 200M PLN turnover in 2024) and from April 1, 2026 for all other VAT-registered businesses. Micro taxpayers under 10,000 PLN monthly invoicing follow on January 1, 2027.

What format is required?

The Polish FA(2) XML schema, submitted through the central KSeF platform run by the Ministry of Finance. Paper and PDF invoices lose legal validity for in-scope domestic B2B transactions once the mandate hits.
